Makadara MP Geroge Aladwa has been arrested in an ongoing crackdown of NASA politicians who took centre stage in the unofficial swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People’s President.
According to Leader of Minority in Parliament Junet Mohammed, Aladwa was arrested on Friday night at his Buruburu home.
Junet on Saturday said that Aladwa is being held at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarters along Kiambu road.
His arrest brings the number of arrested NASA allied politicians since Tuesday to three.
On Wednesday, police arrested Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang. The MP administered the oath to Raila.
He was arraigned before Ngong Resident Magistrate Court on Thursday and was freed on Sh50, 000 bond.
Yesterday morning, police raided Miguna Miguna’s home in Runda and they arrested him.
The crackdown is expected to continue in efforts to suppress the National Resistance Movement which has been gazetted by Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i as an organized criminal group.
