The Nairobi Business Community has issued a warning to NASA demonstrators stating they will thwart every attempt they make to damage their property.

Chairman Wilfred Kamau said the business community has incurred massive losses in past NASA demonstrations.

This time round, he said, they will defend their property as well as be a voice of reason for “unguarded” Presidency of Uhuru Kenyatta.

Addressing the press on Sunday in the city, Kamau said they have sought a hand of help from their counterparts in Limuru and Nakuru.

“We have mobilized business community members from Nakuru, Thika, Limuru and Murang’a among other places to support us,” said the Chairman according to the Star.

NASA leader Raila Odinga a few days ago said they will hold demos in the city every Monday and Friday until reforms at the IEBC are realized.

Raila and his brigade are pushing for the resignation of CEO Ezra Chiloba and 11 other IEBC officials who they accuse of bungling August 8 polls.

They are also protesting a raft of amendments to Electoral Law championed by Jubilee.

“We call upon all our supporters and members of GEMA to come out in large numbers tomorrow [Monday] to protect our votes,” added the Chairman.

Kamau obserd they have been quiet for too long and their silence should not be mistaken for fear.

“Our silence should not be misconstrued as a sign of fear. We are peaceful Kenyans and we are not selfish. We have been called names including being linked to Mungiki but we will stop at nothing to protect the presidency,” he remarked.

He said the group is in support of electoral amendments championed by Jubilee.
