Senator Njoroge taunts Ruto for using government machinery to elbow out antagonizing voices

Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge Ben has once again reignited a political war with Deputy President William Ruto.

Njoroge has now accused Ruto of using government machinery to elbow out leaders whom he thinks could be an obstacle to his 2022 Presidential bid.

Njoroge in a press conference at Senate buildings on Thursday said Ruto was bent on ensuring any leader from Mt Kenya region and Rift Valley who he see as a threat to his ambition for 2022 has been kicked out in the concluded Jubilee primaries.

“We saw that senior politicians from Central and Rift Valley who are opposed to Ruto were rigged out during the just concluded Jubilee primaries,” he said.

Notably, he could be speaking in reference to Kiambu Governor William Kabogo’s assertion that Ruto intentionally rigged him out of the race.

Last year, Kabogo went public and told the DP that support from Kikuyu’s was not guaranteed, a statement that drew a political storm from Jubilee politician bashing him for acting like the community’s spokesperson.

However, Ruto came out and said he agrees with Kabogo’s sentiments that he has to work for his support.

Njoroge added that a recently released report by the National Integrity Alliance to lock out some politicians from holding public office was another of Ruto’s grand scheme.

The nominated Senator’s name was on the list. It was informed by an earlier incident where he drew out his gun and fired twice at Vivo MD-now Mike Sonko’s running mate for Nairobi Governorship Polycarp Igathe.

He said that having the likes of Kirinyaga gubernatorial Jubilee nominee Ann Waiguru on the list was an indication there were people being locked out.

Ruto and Waiguru have been on a collision course over NYS theft.

“We have seen that people like former Devolution CS Ann Waiguru who has openly differed with Ruto are on the list. This is a well-planned move to lock them out,” added the Senator representing people with disability.

The Senator ditched Jubilee and joined KANU to vie for Nakuru Governorship.
