Uhuru, Ruto launches digital portal to outline achievements

By Jamhuri News Reporter

Jubilee party has launched their re-election campaign with an online public portal listing all that Uhuru and Ruto government has achieved.

The portal seeks to inform Kenyans on projects undertaken by the government in the past four years. It includes stories, facts and responses to criticism by the opposition.

Launching the platform on Monday, the President said that the online portal -www.delivery.go.ke, will only publish facts regarding the current state of the projects in the country.

He added that those who may doubt what is on the online platform are free to compare information published with projects status on the ground.

“Using technology, we have consolidated all the achievement into one portal that is accessible to all. Questions will be responded to within 48 hours for a start and later it will be 12 hours,” Mr Kenyatta said at KICC, Nairobi.

The president and his deputy defended themselves from claims that the government has borrowed too much and overspent on infrastructural projects.

“We are doing today what could have been done 20 years ago. We are spending more on infrastructure because we are dealing with a delayed situation,” Mr Ruto said.

The president asked for more time to complete what he called the “transformational journey”.

“We’re catching up, no country can grow unless you have access to resources. The only reason you should be concerned about the level of borrowing is if that borrowing is being used for consumption or recurrent expenditure,” Mr Kenyatta said.” Said Mr. Kenyatta.
