Political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta that he will shoulder the blame if the country erupts into chaos in light of high political temperatures witnessed.

In his You Tube political channel, the Fifth Estate, Ngunyi sent an open letter to the President.

He cited the country is highly polarized especially after the Supreme Court ruling that nullified August 8 polls.

“If the country snaps, we will not forgive you sir. The sovereign will of the people is in your custody. You must establish homogeny,” stated Ngunyi in the letter.

Weighing in on the full Supreme Court judgment delivered by five judges last week, he termed it as a “total waste of national imagination.”

He dismissed the judgment in a manner perceived that he believes President Uhuru Kenyatta won the elections fairly.

The analyst famed for the coining of tyranny of numbers jibed NASA chief, Raila Odinga terming him a “jobless man”.

Ngunyi also alleged possibility of a “civilian coup” to dethrone President Uhuru.

In the same breath, he clearly gave a counter strategy for the alleged civilian coup.

“The solution is to disobey the rule of bad law, in my view. No progress in the world has happened without disobeying the rule of bad law. This is called civil disobedience.

If Maraga rulings degenerate into the rule of bad law, Uhuru Kenyatta must break them, unapologetically. And he must break them in the name of the sovereign will of the people,” he concluded.
