NASA supporters have taken offense with a remark by political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi targeting opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The analyst known for his hard hitting statements on the opposition on Tuesday claimed opposition’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) is already dead.
Raila on Wednesday last week-eve of repeat presidential poll announced NASA was transforming to a rebel movement.
He said NRM will be the voice of liberation Kenya has been yearning for in a long time.
But Ngunyi in dismissal of NRM tweeted: “Raila Resistance Movement [NRM] is dead on arrival. Safaricom should begin freezing Raila [s] number.”
NASA supporters did not hesitate to bash him some telling him off over “Raila obsession” he has developed.
“You have made Raila your primary subject day in day out, this shows that you have nothing new and your brain is no longer functioning,” said @kiarie09.
“Raila this Raila that Raila her Raila there men you are a girl, “said @juma omondi5.
Others mocked him telling him his opinion no longer matter because “he is also dead” opinion wise.

@MiteiRoba: “Everybody should know that Mutahi Ngunyi ceased long ago from being a political thinker and is now a Raila obsessed practical politician.”
@dinovich: “Gosh! Lost count of the number of things you got wrong about Rao. Last time you thought withdrawal was a sick joke and a prank. Fake.”

But there are those who felt Ngunyi was on point in asserting NRM is already dead.
@Itsdaudi noted: “It’s [NRM] already dead, the movement members don’t even have a vision, a mission or objectives, they are doomed to fail. Wiper HQs.”
NRM is now seeking registration as a political party.
The opposition has already written to Registrar of Political Parties Lucy Ndungu seeking reservation of the name “National Resistance Movement.”
