Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru is yet again courting controversy.

This time around, a Mombasa-based businesswoman Zippy Njoki accuses Wauruguru of being the thorn in her marriage. Njoki says that the Laikipia legislator snatched her husband Peter Waweru Njogu.

Mid this week, reports broke that the MP accompanied Waweru to his Bamburi home with the intent to evict Njoki.

Now, Njoki says she is frustrated because Waurguru has broken her marriage. Njoki says her husband was loving and caring until he met Waruguru and the table turned fast pushing her to misery.

She told The Nairobian that Waweru has forgotten about his family. He did not invite them to his latest graduation ceremony.

“He confessed that he had found a new catch in 2019 and moved out in 2020,’’ Zippy narrated adding they got married in 2010 in a grand church wedding.

They had got three kids together.

Zippy has been living alone with her children at their Bamburi home not hearing or seeing much of Waweru until a few days ago when she claims Waruguru and Waweru attacked her.

Zippy reported the incident at Bamburi Police Station and according to the police report, she claims that her estranged husband Peter Waweru Njogu stormed her home at noon in the company of Laikipia Woman Representative and four other people, attacked her, and damaged her phone worth Ksh121, 000.

The matter is under investigation.

On February 14 – Valentine’s Day – Waruguru posted a photo of her with Waweru enjoying a drive.

“Happy Lover’s Day my hun,” she captioned the photo.

After the rumour went viral on Wednesday, she posted a photo of her with Waweru captioning it “Itz what its…..Love blossom.”
