Jaguar, Boniface Mwangi sets example by demonstrating mature politics

Two youthful aspirants for the Starehe Parliamentary seat on Wednesday left Kenyans hailing praises at them for changing guard in how politics is done.

Jubilee’s nominee for MP seat, Charles Kanyi Njagua alias “Jaguar” and Ukweli Party candidate- activist Boniface Mwangi, met during their campaign trail at Kariokor.

Contrary to what Kenyans would call the norm when supporters of two rival groups meet, the two had a friendly chat and Mwangi handed Jaguar his manifesto before each camp went on their way to campaign.

Hours later, Mwangi in a show of support for politics of decorum tweeted that “I bumped into Jaguar yesterday, while we were both campaigning at Kariakor, and I gave him a copy of my manifesto.”

His tweet set twitter on fire as many lauded the two for showing the old guards how “digital” politics is done.

“This is what politics should be. Jaguar and Mwangi have clearly demonstrated that even with political ambitions, peace remains the number one priority,” tweeted Trizah Mwangi.

Another user, @paulowuor said “This is a very good example. Please show the old guard how mature politics is done and in the future.”

ODM’s Steve Mbogo and Maendeleo Chap Chap Mwaniki Kwenya are also in the race to succeed Maina Kamanda, incumbent Starehe MP.
