An OCS in Molo is grappling with the loss of Ksh320,000 bail money which was allegedly stolen by the househelp.

The OCS is now in a dilemma as her bosses insisted that he raised the money immediately as they pursued the house help who has since gone missing.

Addressing the press, Molo Sub – County Police Commander Samuel Mukhusi explained the circumstances through which the OCS moved the money to his house.

Mukhusi explained that the station was under renovation courtesy of Molo NG-CDF office.

The OCS took the money to his house for safekeeping together with other important documents.

The Molo police boss explained that the station was in a dilapidated state. They asked the government through the area MP’s office for renovation which was granted.

“We had asked for support from the area Constituency Development Fund to renovate the station. The cash bail could not remain at the station as constructors undertook their duties,” he stated.

“It’s important that, when the cash bail monies pile up, they get moved to a safer place, so she decided to take the money to her house”, Mukhusi stated.

Mukhusi refuted claims that it was more than Ksh1 million that was lost.

He said that the OCS will have to raise the money even if it means applying for a loan from the police sacco.

“The OCS will have to look for ways to avail the money for its intended purpose even if it means she will apply for a loan,” the police boss declared.
