Is NASA revolution bid shaking Jubilee?

Opposition’s bid to revolt President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rule has sparked apprehension in the ruling coalition, Jubilee Party.

NASA’s lead counsel James Orengo two days ago while addressing a charged rally at Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi East constituency said they will use all legal means within the Constitution to rebel Jubilee regime.

This pronouncement coupled with NASA move to send motions to county assemblies seeking approval to form People’s Assembly has reportedly rocked Jubilee.

“We are using the law and the Constitution in this revolution. During the Kanu regime, we wanted multi-partism, but President Daniel Moi said ‘no’. Then we went to the people, did we get multi-partism or not?” posed Orengo according to the Star.

Besides formation of the People’s Assembly which will be a conduit for electoral justice within the next 90 days, NASA has vowed to deal ruthlessly with establishments that collude with Jubilee and deny Kenyans electoral justice.

NASA has called for boycott of Safaricom product, Brookside and Bidco products.

A few days after they called for the boycott and Raila “migrated” to Airtel, Safaricom Dealers Association came out decrying fall of business.

They said one million jobs are at stake should the boycott continue.

Yesterday, NASA CEO Norman Magaya said they are not short of options on how to deal with Jubilee.

“We are not short of options and in a few days, we will tell you the best one. The plan we have is that things will never be the same. In a few days, Jubilee will regret not paying attention to us.”
