Jaguar warns politicians against insulting Uhuru, promises them a beating

A first time youthful Jubilee MP has put opposition MPs in the habit of insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta on notice.

Starehe MP Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar on Tuesday said he will not hesitate to deal with anyone who insults the President.

“Sisi hatutaki matusi. Kama unataka kumtusi President Uhuru Kenyatta, wewe mtusi, na tukipatana na wewe utapigwa. Sisi ni vijana na hata mimi naweza mtusi mheshimiwa Raila Odinga, lakini siwezi kwa sababu namheshimu kama kiongozi wa NASA,” said Jaguar at Moi Avenue primary in Nairobi as reported by Nairobi News.

In English it loosely translates to: “We don’t want insults. If you want to insult President Uhuru Kenyatta, go on, but when we meet, you will be clobbered. We are youths and I can also insult Raila Odinga but I can’t because I respect him like a NASA leader.”

His warning was being directed to Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino whom he got into a brawl with sometime back after he allegedly insulted the President.

In an apology after the incident which happened at Parliament’s media centre, Jaguar said expressed his remorse for the people of Starehe saying it was an indecent act because he was not elected to fight in Parliament.

He however, refuted claims that the apology was also for Babu Owino.
