Two bodyguards and a driver for Starehe MP Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar were on Sunday involved in a road accident in Juja.
A Mercedes Benz which they were cruising in on their way to Nairobi rammed onto a stationary vehicle along Kenyatta Road.
The MP was not in the vehicle at the time.
An eye witness recounted that the accident happened after a Toyota Isis car veered off the road and rolled.
Vehicles behind parked along the road and got out to check on the four occupants in the Toyota Isis that rolled.
It is at this point that Jaguar’s Benz rammed into one of the vehicles.
“Some motorists parked their vehicles on the road and got out to look at the Toyota. All of a sudden, another car rammed into one of those that had been parked,” recounted a witness, David Gichure as reported by the Star.
The wreckage of the vehicle was towed to Juja Police station.
Unconfirmed reports indicate the driver of the vehicle was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Motorists along Kenyatta road cruise at a high speed of upto 100km/h.
