Jubilee Party has dealt a huge blow to the opposition as 500 of their members from Nakuru County ditched NASA and pledged to support Jubilee.

The members mainly from Kamba community living in Nakuru County said they will support Jubilee and not NASA.

Kamba community Chairman in Nakuru Gerald Kilonzo remarked their decision is against the backdrop that the county is predominantly a Jubilee zone and they can no longer subscribe to ideologies of other Kamba’s in Easter supporting NASA.

“It was impossible for us to align ourselves with those in the eastern part of the country because they have different ideologies,” quotes the Star.

Kilonzo said this time round, they want to be in government.

He noted they have seen a lot of development across the county for the last four years and it’s time to join the Jubilee band wagon.

“We have been outside government for four years and we have experienced developments by the Jubilee government. We want this time to get involved with the government while in it,” he added.

Nakuru Deputy Governor Dr Eric Korir together with the county’s JP Chairman David Manyara lauded the community for their bold move.

“You have made a bold move which will see the head of state score more votes come October 26,” said the DG.

The new JP members promised to marshal support for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 26 repeat polls.
