NASA reschedules launch of manifesto to allow conclusion of Ramadhan

The launch of National Super Alliance (NASA) manifesto expected today has been pushed to next week.

In a statement by NASA campaign chairman Musalia Mudavadi, the coalition pushed the launch to June 27 citing that it will allow the Muslim community conclude their Ramadhan period.

The statement read in part that the postponement of the launch is, “in respect to the last 10 days of Ramadhan, when Muslims are deeply engaged in the most intensive prayers of the holy month.”

Before the coalition scheduled the launch of their manifesto, they had rescheduled to hold a gala dinner to fund-raise for Raila Odinga Presidential campaign.

The gala dinner was to be held today but has been since been moved to a later date.

NASA’s main pillars as contained in their manifesto are National reconciliation and healing resolving historical injustices, realizing equality for women, youths, persons with disabilities and disadvantaged communities; and strengthening devolution.

It will also focus on eradication of poverty, the creation of employment and ending of corruption.

Raila has promised to lower the cost of living within the first 90 days of assuming office.

He says the cost of living has soared under the Jubilee regime.
