Police today allegedly raided former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale’s home claiming that he is storing tires meant to be used during protests to block the elections on Thursday.
Khalwale tweeted saying that four police vehicles; two land rovers and two trucks, stormed his home in Kakamega on Tuesday afternoon and launched an intensive search.
Tires are usually used in lighting bonfires during protests.
Khalwale has been leading anti-IEBC protests in the county and has maintained that no elections shall take place on Thursday, October 26th.
Police officials were yet to comment on the incident by the time of this report.
