Little has been said of disgraced Prophet Victor Kanyari since an expose by a local TV station year back where he was caught red-handed stage managing “miracles”.

This scandal would be followed by divorce as his estranged gospel singer wife Betty Bayo walked out of the marriage saying she does not want to be part of a lie fleecing Kenyans.

Kanyari was popularly known for his tagline “panda mbegu ya 310” (sow a seed for (Ksh310) which earned him disrepute.

After the Covid-19 pandemic struck leaving churches closed, Kanyari diversified his trade and ventured into rearing animals. Strained income from the church may have opened his eyes to venture into another business.

In photos he shared recently, his next big venture could be animal husbandry. He has reared turkeys, goats and pigs which he can be seen feeding.

Characteristic of his self-styled nature as a prophet, he does not spare his followers a glimpse of his lavish-looking compound with four vehicles in the parking lot among them a silver-coloured Range Rover.

In the photos, he dons a Nigerian-like outfit complete with a fila – a cap worn to complete the full Yoruba look and is only worn during special occasions.

In October last year when the pandemic was ravaging the country, he posted a quote on the need to diversify investment saying a salary will never be enough.

“Your salary is a seed that needs to be planted. It’s important you take part of it and invest. Salary alone cannot solve all your money problems. Create a plan B now. A wise investment will provide opportunities for one to always eat Chicken whenever he or she pleases!

“Think INVESTMENT…because you won’t be young forever! Think Insurance…because you won’t be strong forever! Think Entrepreneurship because you won’t be employed forever!” he wrote on his Facebook page.
