Raila’s former aide, Eliud Owalo turns against him after failing to clinch ODM ticket for Kibra

A former aide to Raila Odinga, Eliud Owalo has come out guns blazing at his former boss after he failed in ODM primaries.

Owalo who was contesting for Kibra Parliamentary seat accused Raila of frustrating his bid to become Kibra’s next MP on an ODM ticket.

In a fit of rage after incumbent MP Ken Okoth was announced the winner in the constituency’s ODM Primaries on Monday, Owalo posted a message on facebook venting his anger on Raila.

“I squarely blame Raila Odinga for mischievously instigating selection of the ODM Parliamentary candidate for Kibra Constituency for the August 2017 elections.

I have information at my disposal that a decision had already been made by Raila himself a while back to block Owalo in Kibra based on issues which are already in the public domain,” read the post in part.

He added that with a lot of soul searching, he has decided not to contest the outcome of the primaries or for Kibra seat on August 8.

“I have done a lot of soul-searching sine last night and come to the decision that because as a professional I do not want to subject myself to an environment where my fate will be subject to the level of sycophancy I portray to Raila Odinga both now and in the foreseeable future, I will mind my own business and therefore neither contest yesterday’s results nor run for the Kibra Parliamentary seat altogether in August 2017,” he said.

But what shocked many is that Owalo said that Raila would ultimately be floored by President Uhuru Kenyatta come the general elections.

He said he was eagerly waiting for that day.

“I’m however eagerly waiting for the results of the August 2017 Presidential elections in which I believe Raila will have no option but to come to terms with the sad reality that Malipo ni Hapa Hapa Duniani.”

Owalo feel out with Raila citing that he does not like how he handles his politics.

Days later, the rift between them was widened much further after Raila last born daughter, Rosemary Odinga announced her candidature for the seat.
