Raila reveals he was in constant communication with Dr Roslyn Akombe

The National Super Alliance Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has finally spoken about his closeness to former IEBC commissioner Dr Roslyn Akombe.

Speaking at her home turf in Keroka, Nyamira County on Monday, Raila revealed he was in constant communication with her.

He said government was hell bent on frustrating her but she “beat them in their own game” because she is a “brave and bright woman”.

Raila told his NASA supporters in the county where Chief Justice David Maraga hails from that when Akombe was detained at JKIA after August 8 polls, she called him.

She was to leave for New York for official duty.

“We talked and she told me that they had tried to strip her naked as they searched for any possible evidence and secrets of the annulled Presidential poll,” Raila told charged supporters according to Daily Nation.

He added that after this and threats made to her life without any action from the police, Dr Akombe hatched a plan that let government thinking once again.

“Her plan was very well calculated and she moved her family and luggage ahead of the Dubai trip while tricking the rest of the IEBC commissioners that she would join them only to land in New York… She finally beat them in their own game when she landed in New York.”

Akombe in an interview last week on Thursday with BBC in New York claimed that her life was in danger while she was working at the poll agency.

Raila also chided IEBC for “hoodwinking” Kenyans that CEO Ezra Chiloba is on a three-week break.

He said they have credible reports that he has been in office since then.

“We know he has not left office and he was even there today morning at around 7am. We are not fools. They are fools thinking that we will believe Chiloba is out of office,” lamented Raila.
