Security detail attached to all NASA principals has allegedly been withdrawn by the government, Wiper Party boss Kalonzo Musyoka says.

Addressing the press at his Karen residence a while ago, Kalonzo said the withdrawal of their security detail was ill-timed.

The NASA co-Principal read malice on government’s part terming the withdrawal as “tactical”.

“Every security detail was taken away,” said Kalonzo as quoted by Citizen Digital. “But this is a very important struggle and we are still consulting. The media is seriously under attack and now the remaining security detail assigned to us has been taken away. These are matters we must tell our people.”

Security for the four principals was effectively withdrawn moments to the much-hyped swearing-in ceremony for Raila Odinga as the ‘President of the Republic of Kenya’ while Kalonzo is sworn in as the “Deputy President”.

Asked if the ceremony will continue as slated, Kalonzo remained tight-lipped saying he cannot comment on the issue at the moment.

“I don’t want to say about that right now. This tactical withdrawal by the police, we don’t know.”

He, however, appealed to NASA supporters to keep calm all through.

Uhuru Park is packed to capacity as NASA supporters and a host of NASA MPs wait for the duo to arrive and take the oath.
