Popular blogger Robert Alai has been arrested.
According to Daily Nation, he is currently being held at Kamukunji Police Station.
The cause of his arrest has not yet been disclosed.
Alai was arrested on Friday along Mombasa road.
He said that he was driving along when a car with ordinary number plates blocked him and several officers came out with guns.
He was bundled into one of the four cars the police were travelling on and whisked to Kamukunji Police Station.
He says he is yet to know why he was arrested.
“They have not told me why I am under arrest. I do not know why I am here,” he said adding “they roughed me up. My short is torn.”
Alai is an active blogger on social media and is well know for his hard hitting posts.
He is a big critic of the opposition.
However, though it has not been confirmed, it is said that he posted photos of the first family allegedly at a City hospital.
