Kenya confirms first case of coronavirus

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Friday affirmed that the country had recorded the first case of coronavirus in Kenya.

Without sharing a lot of details, he said that the patient had travelled abroad to the US and returned via the UK on March 5.

The patient of Kenyan origin reportedly has a fever but is in stable condition.

Following this, the government has banned all public gatherings in the country.
