Embarambamba is not a gospel artiste; he has traits of a witch from his grandmother, gospel singer Ringtone Apoko says.
Ringtone in a viral commentary following a clip showing Embarambamba doing his theatrics in a compromising position with female fans at a club along Thika Road.
Ringtone in a fiery response said that Embarambamba is a businessman who has never been saved.
“Embarambamba hajawahi okoka, Embarambamba hajawahi pokea yesu kama mwokozi wa Maisha yake. Embarambamba ni mwanabiashara. Embarambamba ametoka Kisii akiwa dancer wa Sagero ambaye ndiye mwanamuziki mkubwa wa nyimbo za dunia za Wakisii,” he said.
He threw a spanner in the works with claims that Embarambamba is a witch, traits passed on to him by his grandmother who was a witch doctor.
The ‘Mabawa’ hitmaker further alleged that Embarambamba ran away from Sagero’s band and came to Nairobi to ply his ‘lunatic” theatrics all because he is possessed.
“Embarambamba nimeambiwa na nimeconfirm kutoka Kisii Nyanya ya Embarambamba kwamba nyanya ya Embarambamba alikuwa mchawi.
“Embarambamba alikuwa anapenda nyanya yake na akakufa na akalia sana akabeba tabia za nyanya yake zenye alikuwa anamfundisha venye uchawi unfanywa kuninginia juu ya miti, kupanda juu ya roofs za nyumba so Embarambamba akafikiria ni talent akakuja akaanza kufanya kwa nyimbo za mungu lakini ni uchawi.”
He said that by Embaramba justifying what he did, it was a pointer that he was in business and not the word of God.
Ringtone added that people should differentiate between a real gospel artist and a “comedian ambaye na mchawi”.
Embarambamba apologized for the act saying that he has taken time to reflect on his ways.
“To all my fans,family and friends I have let you down. I wish to apologise about my earlier tweet justifying my actions. I will seriously reflect about everything I did. It’s regrettable. Thank you all for the positive criticism, concerns and care,” he apologized.
He also told off Ringtone over his remarks that he is a witch.
“It has come to my Attention that unknown male musician by the name of Ringtone Apoko has taken 2 mins of his time to record a video insulting me that I am a MCHAWI. Well I FORGIVE him. His only known TALENT is creating controversies to get attention.”
