A 15-year old girl from Wajir County who was gang-raped by three men has been airlifted to Nairobi for treatment.
The form one student at Ogle Girls’ secondary school Habaswein was airlifted to Nairobi on Friday.
She was first raped by two men on February 18 before she was handed over to her third tormentor the following day.
The victims later fled and left her in a critical condition.
Habaswein OCPD Caleb Wesa according to Nairobi News said they have arrested one suspect already in connection with the case.
He added they are pursuing the other two suspects.
The case is being handled by DCI officers.
Earlier, there was great hue and cry from residents of Habaswein as elders tried to resolve the issue the traditional way which they felt it can never be enough punishment for the perpetrators.
