New England Members of Kenyan Women In The USA (KWITU) on Saturday held a Shelter Drive event at Emmeus D’Youville Center in Haverhill MA.
KWITU is a power group that offers a platform for Kenyan women in the US to network.
The organization is one of 100 Facebook groups represented at the first ever Facebook Community Summit by Mark Zuckerberg in 2017.
”This is our way to give back to the community and show our appreciation to this beautiful country we now call home”. Roselyn Lapolla, a Kwitu (New England chapter) representative told Jamhuri News.
KWITU is known for coming together to mobilize support and fundraising for community causes. Members socialize, share ideas, celebrate and empower one another.
