A mobile phone stolen from a murdered KDF officer in Kahawa Wendani led to the recovery of a pistol stolen from Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu’s bodyguard.

KDF officer Francis Wanyonyi was killed in August at Kahawa Wendani and his phone stolen.

Flying squad officers from Karuri Police Station have been investigating the murder.

Upon tracking it, it led them to a house in Dandora where they found a Glock and Ceska pistol.

The Glock pistol belongs to Titus Musyoka, Mwilu’s bodyguard-cum-driver.

He was shot at three times on October 24 in Hurlingham after he dropped Mwilu at her Karen home.

He was rushed to Nairobi Women’s Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

Nairobi County DCI boss Ireri Kamwede confirmed that the serial number of the pistol is the same with the one Musyoka lost.

The three who were arrested are James Wachira Kibe (26), Eric Njuguna Kamau (28) and John Mwaura (21).

A pistol holster belonging to Musyoka was found at Kamau’s house in Kasarani estate.

Musyoka will help police identify his attacker in a parade next week.
