Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has gifted British model Naomi Campbell following her start on the journey to motherhood at 50 years.
Balala said that they had a conversation with Campbell who is Kenya’s Magical Kenya International ambassador back in January and told him she was expectant.
“Last night I congratulated her and sent her the best wishes. She mentioned to me when we met in January and we are excited,” he said.
Balala praised Campbell’s work as Magical Kenya Brand Ambassador.
“We couldn’t get a better person to be a brand ambassador for Kenya like Naomi Campbell has done. And she is doing it from her heart, and for free. I want to say congratulations to her and her new gift of life. It’s exciting and would be good news for all of us.”
Balala got Campbell a beautiful Kenyan designed dress as a gift as she embarks on the journey to motherhood.
Campbell took to her Instagram where she announced that she now has a little cute baby.
“A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, so honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love,” she wrote.
The news stirred controversy as fans ask if she carried the pregnancy or she is a classic case of celebrities looking at the IVF and surrogacy way.
In 2017, she told ES Magazine that science has changed a lot of things and she can still get a child even at her age.
