Two Lawmakers from Jubilee and NASA treated fellow MPs and the press to drama galore as they exchanged blows.

Starehe MP Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar and Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino engaged in a fist fight at Parliament’s media centre on Tuesday before Parliament staff stepped in and separated them.

According to Daily Nation, Babu walked into the media centre where journalists were keenly following the tabling of the Elections Amendments Law report.

He greeted journalists and later proceeded to the office of the parliamentary media relations officers.

A few moments later, Jaguar walked in and asked “where is this Babu?”

It is at this point that Babu emerged and they exchanged blows before they were separated.

Jaguar in a rather irritated tone filled with anger retorted: “We will teach you a lesson Babu, you must respect the President.”

But Babu responded: “Which president? The only president I know is Raila Odinga.”

From the altercation, it is clear the fight was premised on loyalties to Presidnet Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

The two MPs were whisked by Parliamentary orderlies and they are set to appear before Powers and Privileges Committee.

They could be suspended from House sittings for a while.
