A former Jubilee critic and now an MP for Nyali Constituency in Mombasa, Mohammed Ali has left many Kenyans wondering if or not he has joined the camp.

On Monday, he addressed his constituents alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto who are on a tour to coast region.

He appealed to the two leaders to help his constituents get a better market.

In his own words, the former investigative journalist said he is ready to work with anyone who minds about the welfare of his people.

He could be alluding to the fact that he is headed to Jubilee.

“Bwana Rais, mimi ningelipenda kukwambia yeyote atakaye fuatilia maisha ya kila mkenya na kuhakikisha usawa na kuwa pamoja mbele ya macho ya mwenyezi mungu basi sisi tuko tayari,” said the MP.

It loosely translates to in English: Mr President, I want to assure you that whoever minds the interests of Kenyans and ensure equality and togetherness before the eyes of the lord; then, we are ready [to work together].”

Ali was elected Nyali MP as an independent candidate.

He was trounced in the ODM party primaries by said Abdalla who is a cousin to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.

Ali appealed to the party tribunal which ordered for fresh nominations in the constituency which never happened.

Since then, he has had a frosty relationship with ODM leadership especially Governor Joho who is the ODM Deputy Chair.

Jubilee has netted former Wiper Secretary General Hassan Omar who has since joined Jubilee since his loss at the Governorship in the county.
