Twelve people lost their lives in a grisly road accident at Salgaa Sunday morning.
All the 11 passengers and the driver died on the spot according to Rongai OCPD Japheth Kioko.
“All the 11 passengers and the driver of the shuttle died on the spot,” he said as quoted by the Star.
The driver of the Nakuru-bound shuttle hit a cow before he lost control of the vehicle and crashed onto a trailer heading to the opposite direction.
The trailer’s driver and one a turn-boy suffered serious injuries and were rushed to Nakuru Level Hospital for treatment.
Salgaa is a black spot within the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Many lives are lost at the spot and at one time last year, Christians converged at the site and held special prayers to put an end to the many accidents that happen there.
