Sophisticated technology to monitor elections-German IT experts part of Raila’s high-powered plan

Days after Jamhuri News reported about Jubilee’s grand plan to win August polls by hiring top notch British Data and PR firms, the focus has now shifted to NASA’s grand plan.

In a publication by the Star, NASA led by Raila Odinga has put in place elaborate and watertight measures to monitor election results across all polling stations in the country.

The NASA team has acquired sophisticated equipment from Germany to track and monitor real-time election results from all polling centers in the country.

NASA’s election management system will be handled by IT experts from Germany in tandem with IT gurus from the country.

The team which will be based at NASA’s National tallying Centre in Westlands, Nairobi will get results from a team based at the counties who will be provided with satellite phones for them to capture videos and pictures of the results including forms 34 and 36.

The videos and pictures are purposely to be stored as evidence in case there is a presidential petition.

University students have been roped in and will be stationed in polling centers across the country. They will be furnished with satellite phones and are expected to relay Presidential results as announced at the 41, 000 polling centers in the country.

The national allying center for the opposition will have a backup system outside the country and is expected to use the cloud as part of its backup mechanism.

Besides the high-powered technical plan to filter vote rigging, Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress (ANC) has been put in-charge of the team and will be assisted by a secretariat mainly from the counties led by NASA allied governors.

He will be reporting to his other principals, Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Isaac Ruto.

Billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi will be responsible for resource mobilization and will be assisted by economist David Ndii and EALA MP Abubakar Zein.

The former head of Cord Secretariat Norman Magaya will be the campaign’s Executive Director.

In Nairobi County, Governor Evans Kidero and his deputy Jonathan Mueke have bee tasked with mobilizing votes for Raila and also ensuring that NASA takes the majority of MCA, Parliamentary positions.

Johnstone Muthama, Julius Malombe (Kitui Governor) and Governor Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), will campaign fro NASA and mobilize voters in Ukambani region.

Mombasa Governor who doubles up as ODM Deputy Party leader will take charge of coast region campaigns while Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya will lead Governors Sospeter Ojamaiong (Busia) Moses Akaranga (Vihiga) in Western region campaigns.

Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o will lead a team comprising Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti, Akoth Obado (Migori) and Cornel Rasanga (Siaya) to campaign in Nyanza, Raila backyard.

Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama will take charge of campaigns in their region.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba will lead campaigns in North Rift while Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye together with Isaac Ruto will lead the South Rift.

Wajir governor Ahmed Abdulahi will take charge of the campaigns in North Eastern region.
