Anti-IEBC protests in Kisumu on Friday quickly turned a looting spree by a section of the demonstrators.

They broke into Tumaini Supermarket and literally stole every thing including food in the eatery.

Some of the shop attendants were injured during the incident as they tried to stop the rogue group of demonstrators from getting into the shop.

Money was also stolen and windows were smashed.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and lobbed teargas at the demonstrators who fled for safety.

The NASA supporters are pushing for reforms at the IEBC.

NASA leader Raila Odinga has maintained they will continue protesting twice in every week until reforms at the IEBC are realized.

Among the things he wants addressed by the electoral commission is resignation of some IEBC officials led by CEO Ezra Chiloba whom he accused of bungling August 8 polls.

In addition, he wants IEBC’s ICT infrastructure to be audited and have another firm besides Dubai based Al Ghurair awarded the tender to print Presidential ballot papers.
