Government to deal with Raila’s NRM like mungiki, al-shabaab-Duale

Opposition leader Raila Odinga

Government will treat opposition’s resistance movement-National Resistance Movement (NRM) as an outlawed group like mungiki, al shabaab, Aden Duale has said.

The Leader of Majority in Parliament said the Constitution of Kenya does not recognize such an outfit and it has no place in Kenya.

“Having changed from a political party to a resistance movement, NASA joined the ranks of Mungiki and al Shabaab, among others. The Constitution does recognize armed groupings and thus [it has] no place in Kenya,” said Duale according to the Star.

NASA leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday said the coalition was transforming to a resistance movement.

Raila said they will resist further oppression by Jubilee regime led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Duale told Raila he can only be President through the ballot and not through NRM.

“For one to be President of this country, citizens must vote for you. There is no shortcut to this process.

“Kenyans want to move on. We want to be through with the election today so we can start to build the nation. We have been held hostage for the past two months,” said the Garissa Township MP.
