I’ll not insult anyone, even my competitors- President Kenyatta

In a subtle move, President Uhuru has pledged not to exchange any insults with the opposition in a bid to lead the pack in championing for peaceful polls.

The President promised Kenyans that he will not insult anyone.

He jibed the opposition saying NASA coalition is professional in insults.

“I don’t want to insult anyone. I leave it to those who are experienced in insults,” said the President.

Uhuru spoke in Malindi on Sunday together with his Deputy William Ruto during a Jubilee tour to the region.

He categorically stated that insults from opposition do not give sleepless nights as many would expect.

“They should not think that I don’t sleep because of their insults, I sleep.”

However, his visit to the region would not go un-noticed as he led an onslaught against Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who has been at loggerheads with Jubilee administration.

The President with his Deputy chided Joho for his tirades against Jubilee administration.

Uhuru told Joho there is no bravery in him insulting him while the County chokes with garbage.

“Bravery is not in insulting others. Bravery will only be seen in what you have been able to deliver to your people as development. Clear the garbage menace in Mombasa before anything else,” charged the President.

He added: “Show us what you have done before going round throwing insults.”

Ruto did not spare the self-proclaimed “Sultan” either.

He told the crowd that Joho has been misleading them by claiming that Jubilee government want to move the dry port from Mombasa to Naivasha.

The DP said they cannot “transfer the Indian Ocean” to Naivasha so current operations will remain in Mombasa.

Joho has been in Jubilee’s bad books. He severally has criticized government’s major projects in the county.

He says that Jubilee is riding on the glory of projects initiated by the grand coalition government.
