The National Super Alliance now claims a militia group has been “contracted” to kill its supporters who will hit the streets daily starting next week in protest.
Raila Odinga’s point man and Siaya Senator James Orengo on Saturday said they will continue with the protests.
Speaking at Capitol Hill office, Orengo said Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i together with the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet are have committed crimes against humanity
Orengo spoke in reference to the death of three people who were shot dead by police in Siaya after storming a police station in Bondo on Friday.
“Boinnet as the Inspector General of Police and Matiang’i as the Interior Cabinet Secretary authorized the use of force against Nasa supporters.
They are responsible for crimes against humanity against Nasa supporters in the name of restoring public order,” he said as Daily Nation quotes.
Orengo absolved NASA supporters of looting in the CBD.
He said their supporters are peaceful and that those who looted were mercenaries for hire.
He also insisted that the CS’ order banning protests in the CBD of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa was unlawful.
